After School Program
This ministry reaches out to the neighborhood children, grades K-5th, through Bible time, crafts, homework, movies and games. Children attend 3 days a week, three hours a day. This ministry explodes with one-on-one relational discipleship, which allows us to reach them as well as their families with the love of Jesus. Contact: Savannah Herrera
Adopt-A-Block
Our vision is to bring back a sense of community, both spiritually and physically to a neighborhood through hands on intervention. It meets Saturdays 9am to 1pm (although currently on hold). We invite everyone to come and reach our community for Jesus Christ! Contact: Scott Wells
Caring Hands Ministry
This ministry is where people that are hungry and thirsty for physical and spiritual food are satisfied. Every Saturday afternoon the spiritual needs are met by preaching and teaching God’s Word and physical needs are met with a hot meal and a bag of groceries. Everyone is welcome! Community Service
Involvement in this ministry has an incredible opportunity to work with youth and adults of all ages. Each person that comes, either by volunteer or court order, will help with maintenance projects in and throughout the various properties we own. Conquering Marriages
This ministry is a married couples mentoring program. It has couples coming beside other couples, two by two, mentoring couples on how to establish real God-like marriages. Conquering Marriages compliments the Honor By Two class and the NAME marriage enrichment counseling. Mentors are selected from the regular attendees of the Honor By Two class. Contact: Steve Neese
Dream Center
This ministry exists to meet the needs of the community. Those who volunteer can help people by getting involved with the food and clothing distribution process as well as giving Godly counsel and prayer. Revolution
This ministry is open for ages 12 to 18. We focus on reaching out to teens in a relevant way through high-energy worship, current messages and an atmosphere that connects with teens. This is a great place to meet other teens and discover their purpose. Contact: Dale Garza
Honor by Two
This ministry is a spiritual development class for couples and presents spiritual concepts for improving relationship issues in a unique and practical format. While we specifically deal with marriages, singles or unmarried couples are also welcome, as this will give a firm foundation for their future marriage. The Remnant (Young Adults)
This ministry targets Young adults between the ages of 18 & 30. Ignite meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. for a time of worship and relevant bible teaching. We have events each month so that the young adults can have a time of socializing and fun. The goal of this ministry is to see young adults surrender, grow and mature in their walk with Christ, and they in turn point others to Christ also!!! Contact: Nate Calaway

Jail/Prison Ministry
Our primary purpose is to visit and disciple any man that is requesting help in their search to knowing more about God and his Son Jesus Christ. This sometimes includes ministering to their spouses, parents, girlfriends, etc. upon the jailed person’s request. Joshua’s Men
This ministry is a branch of the Men’s Ministry where men, who have been chosen by the leader because of their faithfulness and gifting of leadership, receive tools to create vision, strengthen their character, mature in their understanding of fathering and family as well as developing servanthood leadership. Keepers Care
This ministry consists of the greeters, ushers, security personnel and parking lot attendants. Our aim is to make everybody feel welcomed! We pay close attention to follow up with our guests as well as those who regularly attend! Our small ministry is designed to reach everyone whether they are a Christian or not. What are your interests…We believe you can take just about any type of group and use it to reach people. We have groups for young people, adults, seniors as well as help with your finances, marriage, TV shows, and scrap booking. KEEPER’S Path
This is a weekend designed for every person interested in becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ through Dedication, Discipleship, Discovery, and Destiny. KEEPERS Path meets here at the church on Friday Night and then Saturday morning and afternoon in a seminar format. You will learn what our church is all about, grasp the foundations of the bible, find out what gift God has given you, and you will learn how to share your faith through relationships. Leading Ladies
This ministry is a branch of the Women's Ministries here at Hammond First. This is a small group of women that have been chosen by the leader because of their faithfulness and gifting of leadership. They meet once a month for 12 months to study selected books by authors that speak to the Christian woman & her needs and responsibilities. Contact Person Varies
Maintenance Ministry
THis ministry does what it takes to keep the buildings running and in good working order. We exist to serve the church in meeting the cleaning and repair needs that arise. Media/Production Service Team
Cutting Edge Video and Word display for church worship services. Our goal is to make every service a sensory experience. That people will be able to hear, see, and feel what God is trying to teach them. This is done with video illustrations, drama sketches, artwork, creative sets and more. Men’s Ministry
Our focus is to be a band of brothers helping each other become Real Men! It is open to all men whether in our outside the church. We have monthly events along with 8 week dicipleship classes every other session on wedneday nights. Our goal is to give men the tools to live like Christ in their home, church and community. Music and Worship

Oasis Night
This is a time for any married person to come and just "Breath" and get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Our focus is generally a multimedia lesson followed by a discussion on relationship issues. During the summer months the 2nd Thursday is "Chillin' and Grillin" night were everybody brings something to grill and a side dish and we put it together and feast and just relax. Office Ministry/ Volunteers
This ministry gives a volunteer an opportunity to interact with those needing information about our church as well as helping those needing to connect with the staff of our church. The duties are as follows: Answer Phones, Transfer Calls, & Take Messages. You will also direct people who come to the office needing assistance and perform any other tasks that the office staff needs done. Prayer Ministry
This ministry is comprised of a team of dedicated intercessors who are committed to pray for the people and needs of our church and city. We have weekly corporate prayer meetings which are open to anyone interested on Tuesday mornings 10am to noon, Tuesday evening “Praying for the City” 7-8pm , Friday mornings Watchman’s Prayer 6-7am. We have an active prayer chain operated through our www.hammondfirst.org e-group and we send out daily reminders to pray for our Pastors and Elders through the same. Contact: Bunny Konkol
Productions & Drama ministry
This ministry has the focus of making Jesus relevant to a world that might not hear a sermon but come and watch a play. Plays and drama productions enable those with the gifting in this field to flourish and clearly portray God’s word in artistic form. Contact Person: Nate Calaway
Women’s Ministries
In almost every ministry represented at HFA you see women stepping up and taking major roles. The Women’s Ministries of our church is not just a title of a ministry, but it truly is Women “in” Ministry. Women unlimited because Christ works through them! This ministry includes MUMS (Moms Uplifting Moms Spiritually), Leading Ladies groups, Secret Sisters, Bible Studies, fellowships, Holiday Marketplace, Victorian Tea, field trips, conferences, etc. We are excited to see how God is expanding this umbrella ministry as He gives fresh visions and plans to the women in His kingdom!
